Hi there!

In many cultures, these are the double standards that are seen as "romantic". :) The philandering lover sees his partner with someone else and gets JEALOUS, and the audience sighs: "Awww ... he really did love her after all ..."

It has never made sense to me either. The mores of a lot of tv/movies/pop culture leaves me scratching my head.

Hi there!

Well yes, but to be fair, last episode there was actually a fistfight over someone dating the sister of a co-worker's girlfriend. What's up with THAT?!

Okay, true story: My wifey and I took a vacation to France back in '99. We had wine with dinner every night. When we got back, we tried to order a nice glass of California White Zinfandel and discovered that we had turned into effete wine snobs in 7 days. We were TRYING to be snobby, we didn't think that we were somehow SUPERIOR to our American countrymen, and we hadn't really even tried to refine our palates while overseas. We just came home and drank a really good glass of wine, and it magically tasted like grape juice. The snob thing was a complete accident. Really!

For me, it's been like that ever since I first read about polyamory. "You ... you mean that I don't HAVE to be jealous if my beloved falls for someone else? They can love me AND another person and we can all be happy together?Since I read about THAT, every romantic triangle seems to me like more ( ... )

Men can be idiots. And I always hated M*A*S*H.

Hi there!

Men can be idiots? You have some recorded instances of men NOT being idiots, hrmm? (Yes, I'm being cruel to my own sex)

I love M*A*S*H*. In the later episodes it totally turns into: "Liberal Porn", but I love it. :)

Hi there!

I guess these are the Russian non-spammers you'd mentioned? [sigh]

This is going to take me an hour to delete ... :(

You must be getting it worse. I don't know if you can even see this comment amidst the spam from Russia you're getting. :(
