I haven't posted this here yet.  I am officially employed!  (in a more permanent state then a summer theatre job).  I will be working at Orbital Sciences Corporation as an Associate Engineer.  I start January 12 ( Read more... )

I will, though I've heard that Kazakhstan is one of the more politically stable -stans. Democratic government, freedom of religion, and fortunately, it's not bordered by Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Georgia or any other of the more troublesome countries (well apart from Russia and China, of course).

for the uncultured where is that geographically? (I mean the main location not the launch site)

Dulles is just north of Dulles Airport on Rt. 28. It's on the Fairfax/Loudoun border. There's a new-ish mall out there (Dulles Town Center), and Orbital is about a mile from it.

Baikinour is where the Soviet space program launched from (and where the Russians still launch from)
