Yay Halloween! Jeannie already had her costume prepared and ready for her to slip it on for class (Transfiguration, YAY), but she had wisely decided to wait until then, because what if she spilled food on it?! That would be bad. And it turns out, Jeannie had made the correct decision. Because a bit after she stepped out of the common room, and tried to catch up with Daphne Kaligaris, who was walking just a bit ahead of her (and quite faster), she felt something hit her right shoulder with a squelch. She turned, surprised, to see some stuff which she couldn't place the name of but was, according to the smell, quite obviously disgusting, trail down on her ( ... )

"All the screamiiiiing," Felix groused on his way out of the common room. It had not been quiet. "And why, is it really necessary--oh bugger."

By the time he had managed to get a look at Daphne, Jeannie, and what had befallen them, and by the time he had gathered enough sense to look up, one had hit him square on the head, another on his back as he hunched over and tried to hurry out of the way, and two more fell and splashed up right at his feet as he made it to the common room.

And the smell was disgusting.

He backed up quickly, nearly tripping over Jeannie in the process. "Ugh--no no no no, this is a sharp mess--" But catching sight of Daphne was somewhat gratifying, and he nearly began to snicker. Nearly. He smelled a little too bad and felt a little to repulsive to actually be genuinely amused.

"Hummm," he said in place of laughter, and then added dryly, "Happy Halloween." He wordlessly pulled out a handkerchief and passed it to Jeannie, looking up at the ceiling with an expression that was a mixture of awe and disgust.
