I read that there have actually been a couple of funerals where the decedent had requested (or "pre-requested" I guess) that Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" be played, and in one case a person who was being cremated requested it be played as his casket was rolled into the retort.
And a DBotW on "Six Feet Under" requested "I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" from Dreamgirls.
I've also been to a couple of funerals of theatre friends who echewed the traditional hymns in favor of showtunes.
"I Had The Time of My Life" would be perfect, except I can never hear that song without thinking of Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing, and I would like my funeral to not be too morbid.

I actually am tickled by "I Had the Time of My Life" - but Swayze Fear would stand in my way, as well.
The song I've always wanted played at mine is "Walking to New Orleans" by Fats Domino. I can't put into words why, but it just seems perfect for the occasion.
