Been practicing with my new camera. Now if only all the birds that come to feed here will just cooperate! I did get this Monarch butterfly. Hard to get them to be still.

I was beginning to think I would never get the butterfly with its wings spread. The flower is called Butterfly Bush, my favorite. These were supposed to be red.

Great photo. It is difficult to shoot live things. I've tried to photograph butterflies before now and they always seem to close their wings just as you press the shutter!

I took about 20 shots trying to get the butterfly with it's wings open! This was the best of the bunch.

Haven't seen a bear since early spring. There are several small groups of turkeys that come, just not since I got my camera. Figures. That butterfly bush was supposed to be red and it is the only survivor out of three planted. Oh well, I will try those again next year.
