Sat out after dinner to take pictures of birds. No birds came, but this little guy did.

Thank you. I took 14 shots just to get this one shot in focus. He kept moving. Going to try birds today.

He is cute. I have never seen a red squirrel. They used to be common in England but unfortunately, have been pushed out by the gray which isn't native. I think the only place you can see red now is in Scotland although I think they are trying to create habitat for them elsewhere.

We have mostly gray squirrels. Living here, northwest New Jersey, is the first time I have seen red squirrels. Feisty little guy. He chases the gray ones away. They all seem to co-exist around here. In central NJ there is a colony of squirrels, residing in a town park, where half their members are pitch black! Found nowhere else in NJ. Weird.

Yeah, and he blends nicely with the long legged rats. (see picture in Thursday's post)
