Cute! (does thinking that make me a bad person...?)

But... copy editing:

"the Carpathian mountainside" => "a Carpathian mountainside"? (I imagine there's more than just the one...)

"a section of forests" => "a section of forest"?

"trail of drool made it’s way" => "trail of drool made its way" (this one I'm sure about!)

Really wasn't expecting the ending. I thought you might be aiming for something more sweetly humorous, but this is much better!

Definitely gonna fix the second two, though I think I like the first as it is. Makes it seem broader.

I do like a twisty ending. Perhaps I haven't quite shed the "dark side" component from my last entry.

A few things:
1. I like the way you played with the topic.
2. That's not what I expected Jim to do either.
3. In fact, I absolutely loved the ending because it was COMPLETELY unexpected.

This is definitely my favourite thing I've read of yours all season. Yay for you making it through round two so I could read it!

Thanks so much for the awesome compliment! I would have to say I think this was the hardest one to write - I was feeling quite a bit of burnout from the triad run off. ;-}

LOL, I know what you mean. I put everything I had into my round two piece so I didn't feel like I was able to put as much into my main entry this week.

That wasn't what I expected Jim to do, either! But it's what most people would/should do. I didn't tweak to the fact that something was really WRONG until he started paring his nails. Excellent twist ending. I loved this!

Enjoyed this. My betting money is on Jim. Wonder who he will find to play with next?
