Strangely, diluted OJ is probably even better. Or, Gatorade; good stuff. Honestly, if you've got a cold or perhaps even the flu, I feel like hydrating yourself well is truly the best thing you can do for yourself. I don't think that megadoses of vitamins or zinc will prove to be particularly helpful, when the debate over such things finally begins to fade into established understanding, though I'd say that if there's a chance that they help, you might as well go ahead and take reasonable doses of such things. I personally have a daily multivitamin when I'm sick, and suck a zinc candy a couple of times a day mostly to appease my mother. Take something for fever if it's over 101, but otherwise, a low-grade fever is really supposed to be helping you, and I'd monitor it carefully. I don't medicate for symptoms like cough or snot unless I have to go see other people, or the symptoms are so bad that I cannot sleep
