More Addie ramblings

You know, I'm probably just reading WAY too much into Addie's Present at this point, but I swear that game has some psychological merit to it. (: Seriously, I'm convinced now that the characters Addie meets in her weird little dream town represent various aspects of her psyche, and the way they interact with one another shows a tremendous insight ( Read more... )

If you have time to write such long, blabbering entries, you DEFINITELY have time to look up flights!!!

Totally kidding!!! I'm SO funny!

Oh, I never denied that I have TIME to look up flights. I just... haven't. (:

I probably will this weekend, though. But I'm not too concerned... I doubt flights to Hawaii in October will sell out anytime soon. (:

This game sound interesting, is it 3D or 2D(i hope)?,is the music good? Are you same Wyrdwad who wrote that excellent Moon: Remix RPG Adventure(i WANT this game)/Chulip and Coloball 2002(still waiting for this to arrive in my post) review on GF? If yes, any chance for a Endonesia/UFO: A Day in the Life/L.O.L.: Lack of Love review lol?

Addie no Okurimono is 3D, sadly, but it's some of the more stylishly-drawn 3D I've seen on the PS1. The music is good, but limited - there are only maybe 5 different songs that play throughout the game, and most of them are just standard RPG fare, with only a handful of standout tracks (one of them being the title screen theme, which is gorgeous ( ... )

I have Endonesia(geez, the main character walk very slo~~~~~~~~wly)and UFO, i'm still waiting for Coloball 2002 and Chulip (Japanese version) to arrive. Endonesia is very similar to Giftpia in gameplay (i prefer Giftpia),...is Moon similar to End and Gift? (Kenichi Nishi co-founded Love-de-Lic right? Moon does sound similar to Giftpia in concept and he did work on both of these games ( ... )

Never thought about trying to get my reviews published on Gamespot, but I guess I could give it a shot.

Moon's gameplay is somewhat similar to Giftpia, Endonesia, Chibi-Robo, and Chulip (moreso Chibi-Robo and Chulip than the other two, though) - but as with all Love-de-Lic games, it's also distinctly different from any of those, and is IMHO the best of the batch by a very wide margin. Moon is just... amazing. It really is one of the best games I've ever played, hands down.

Chibi-Robo is my second favorite of the bunch, BTW, and that one's actually available in English (with a top-notch translation by Nintendo!), so if you have yet to play it, I highly recommend doing so. You shan't be disappointed!

I haven't played Chibi-Robo but i have watched it from start to finish, i got my bro to buy it for himself (he's a Nintendo fan), very underated sadly.
I really don't like Gamespot (i'm to hardcore, check my profile lol), i only use it to keep track of my collection..., too much FF & GTA fans there lol.
Moon is very hard game to find....geez.

If you think Moon is hard to find, just try to get your hands on L.O.L. Lack of Love, Love-de-Lic's solitary Dreamcast outing. I've only ever been able to find one copy of that game in my entire life, and that was just a fluke.

Good game, though, if you CAN find it.

There's a few on Ebay and on Amazon Japan, i'll buy it on Monday lol. I don't have a Japanese DC at the moment though but i already have a list of games i want for the system, the games are: SEGAGAGA (looks very weird, like Hanjuku Hero 3&4 for the PS2), El Dorado Gate vol 1/7, Langrisser Millenium, Napple Tale, Black/Matrix AD (i love the B/M series), Elemental Gimmick Gear, Rent-A-Hero no1. Do you know any good JP only DC games, obcure, weird and original games. (BTW, i have a UK DC and games i got for it: Eternal Arcadia, PSO, Chu Chu Rocket, Soul Calibur, Bangai-O and my FAVORITE..Jet Set Radio. I also know that Grandia II for DC is better than the PS2 ver just like the Saturn Grandia is better than the PS1 ver...right ( ... )

Oh God, River Fantasia... that is *the* single worst game I have *ever* played. Seriously, it couldn't be more broken... it's almost worth checking out as a morbid curiosity, it's just so bad. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT is bad, without exception. It's like the creators were trying to fail. (:

I haven't played any of the other games you listed, though, except for Grandia II DC (which is indeed supposed to be better than the PS2 version) and Napple Tale (which is VERY MUCH worth tracking down, as it's quite excellent!). My Dreamcast experience is extremely limited. I just happen to know about L.O.L. because... well... I bought a Dreamcast so I could play it! (:
