Tragic and sad month...

Around the 30th of May, we had a family party out at my brother's house. My sister was here visiting from Ohio, and hadn't been here for several years. My mom noticed her right leg swelling up. She had been complaining of various ailments, mostly stomach pain, for about 3 months. She chalked it up to a stubborn stomach bug that wouldn't go away

I'm very sorry. But, at the same time, I'm very relieved for your mother. It was quick, rather than a long, slow, lingering, painful way.

Yeah, I know, it's not much comfort right now. But eventually, it will be, because you'll realize that you got to see your mother in good health and good spirits right up until near the end. (I watched a grandparent die in a matter of weeks, and I watched a grandparent die slowly after being ill for years. I can tell you which way *I*'d rather go.)

*hugs* Just remember, though, just because she's gone doesn't mean she isn't still with you.
