You should provide real world examples. And add me to your friends list... We lived in the same house for a year for Christ's sake. Plus I'm friends with Arun now, who says he knows you. I guess its hard not to know you though, you kind of stand out.

you have to promise to not convey anything from my LJ to anyone who might want to mess with me.

the only reason i haven't added you so far is that you tend to side with the logical positivists and/or the capitalist-statists in many areas, which makes me think you're in danger of being reprogrammed by their agents. and yeah, that sounds paranoid but i was in the military and i know just how sophisticated government brainwashing can be.

also, i didn't want to offend you but i think that your sexual orientation has been coopted by the people near you (probably your family) and i feel that you might not be making your own choices in that matter. i never really said anything to you because i didn't realize i was bi til later but i think there was some sexual tension between us since you coming out to me.. but yeah, i still think you're a very aware person and i've felt sad that you seem to have accepted the status quo of the patriarchy and its heterosexist paradigm.

anyways.. yeah. reply back, and we can discuss things.

I'm not too sure that in siding with the logical positivists that I automatically side with the capitolist-statists. Anyway, as you know from your military experience, we maintain a strict policy of no buddy-fucking, so your secrets are safe with me. I mean that in its figurative sense, but since you brought it up, I honestly never felt for men even a significant fraction of the level of attraction I felt for women, but in being an aware person (as you say) I recognized the minor role that sexuality takes in my relationships with other men. As far as Freud seems to be concerned, human civilization is nothing more than a huge subconscious orgy that never stops, and all social-cooperative behaviors are essentially sexual in nature. I don't know if I would go that far, but sexuality is definitely one of the building blocks of the human social scheme.

i think Freud had serious issues which impacted his thinking on the subject. besides which, psychology has progressed quite a bit since him, and most of it in areas that have nothing to do with those ideas. personally i don't agree that society is based so much on sex. i think that society is based on dominance and that sexual dominance is a major portion of that, which may be why it seems like sex is the issue- perhaps sexism, but not sex. anyways, i don't find myself nearly as attracted to men either, but i recognize that strict definitions of sexual orientation are a bit like saying "all of my genes are recessive" or some such claim. so yeah.

but anyways, ok, i'll add you.. sorry, i just kinda felt like your thinking had been hijacked by conservatives i guess. not entirely, but like such people were influencing your decisions overmuch. i think maybe i was overreacting though.

hm.. maybe that's all he was upset about.. philosophy majors can get kinda irritable about books. ;)

i've been doing random tweaker-projects with the computer, trying to learn more, trying to bypass ISP restrictions on uploading.. (which hasn't worked so far).. *shrug* school is fun, been learning many neat things about African history and politics.. other than that, not much going on.

The w4lru5 is still around, eh? How have you been? Not sure if you remember me. I remember you. You used to carry a rather large "murse." You lived only a block from Jenkins. You told me stories about having sex with some on a park bench girl while high or something. You drove a school bus.
