i had been wanting to read j.m. coetzee's diary of a bad year since it came out in january. being too poor to buy it, i finally picked it up at the library. i've only read the first thirty pages (it's going slowly--i stop every few pages to write notes and since i can't do it right in the margins it take a bit longer). lovely ( Read more... )

over the weekend jordann and i went to the common ground fair, which was pretty fantastic and full of old hippies and progressive folk and kids in american eagle gear. not that any of these categories are mutually exclusive--i'm sure there were some old progressive hippies in american eagle, too. but it was pretty great. and sunday i went to a fair ( Read more... )
