I finished the novel White Oleander this weekend. I don't know how I did it. I played Mary Poppins (a potty mouthed Mary Poppins) to a sick child all weekend and no wonder I got to sit down and actually read as he cried and said, "I'm sick" over and over again. We started reading "1984" by George Orwell yesterday in honors lit. It's already pissing me off and coach Kahn promised us that it would. It's sickening already (we only read pgs. 5-17 last night). Last night, I went to the movies with la familia. Dad and I saw "Hide and Seek" while my mom, Kyle and Ashley saw "Hitch" -- a stupid Romantic comedy. It's not that I am against love in general.
