Writer's Block: It Sounds Better When You Say It
In Japan, when you introduce yourself, and when you request a favor or job of someone, you say, "Yoroshiku onegaishimasu." There is no direct English equivalent for the context it's used, and I sure wish I could use it at work in the US. In fact, I wish I could use the other work-related greetings in the US. -
Foresight/Hindsight
I was on my way home from work in the usual crowded commute up the interstate. Two Favorite Things

Maru is a cat in Japan, looks like an exotic shorthair with his flat face. He's a total goofball with a box obsession, and it's fun to watch him romp through his owner's frighteningly clean residence.

Not Cat Rage
I kenneled at the adoption center today. Last month, I asked the volunteer coordinator to give me more kenneling and less adoption center work, and that worked out nicely. I cleaned cages, cuddled a couple of kitties, talked to a couple of people and left. We'd had a huge adoption event Saturday, so there were a lot of empty cages. I'm sure those ( Read more... ) -
