running blind

trying to forget
memories ignored
shadows moving

emotions released
mask broken
stress let loose
confusion returned

tangled mess
twisted fate
cant undo
too late

cold as ice
silver like a star
curved and round
long and sharp

biting into soft
never flinching
never feeling pain

flooding back
sanity and relief
washing away
terror and grief

shining pools
deep and dark
running rivers
shallow and long

sitting on rocks
watching waves
breaking the tide
