Christmas is so bloody commercial. All it's turned into is 'lets see how many presents we get so we can show them off and pretend like people care'. This isn't me being bitter, and this isn't me ranting. BUt after talking to a few people from work, I've realized that there is no meaning of christmas after you stop believeing in Santa Clause

Just to defend the christmas spirit; Although I don't beleive in jesus or any of that, I still think Christmas' main deal is to have family and friends spend time together and appreciate each other. And I still think it does that to a point.

But on the other hand, I totally see where you're coming from. Too much focus is spent on the gifts themselves.

i love christmas! its soo amazing! i mean, getting presents is a plus, but the true meaning of christmas is the best part! its the time where everyone gets to get together as a family and have their own little christmas rituals. i know its one time of the year that i hang around with my parents all day, instead of going off into the other side of the house and doing my own thing.

i know, everyone does get caught up in the gifts, and everyone feels disappointed when they didnt get the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, but whatevs! once that first 30mins is over, they appreciate what they got from everyone, and how people actually spent money on their insignificant existance. i know i love it whenever people appreciate what i get them. im not saying christmas is about the gifts, but its part of it.

Oh Krystal, we all know that Christmas never really did have any true meaning. Unless your crazy religous. Its the one time of the year that we can get a few gifts, and not feel bad about asking for them. And we all know that Santa was created by Coca Cola, so we cant complain about it being so commercial. It does bring people closer together for a little while each year. (But...completely contradicting myself, I think Christmas sucks more every year, and people DO become more greedy every year. Or at least I do...) <3 YOU!
