I love when people play with the possible intricacies of Gallifreyan language.

LOL - this is brilliant! The banter, the oh-so-carefully-crafted insults, the on-going one-upsmanship...it's all going to end in tears, isn't it?

I would write a more detailed review, if I weren't still grinning over the tentacle monster/cephalopod in the waste disposal chute...now I'll be off to find some Star Wars/Doctor Who crossover fanfics...

Aha, thanks! Details can certainly come later. :p Do come back and tell me if you find any good crossover fic.

I searched, I found and I am now mentally scarred for life...There are a few good over at crossover_news and even some in the crossover section of fanfiction.net, there are as well some with such interesting pairings as Jack/Chewbacca and some with really bad grammar/spelling. (But I still have no idea where I once read this one fic with the Master and the Doctor playing Darth Vader and Obi-Wan...)

As for more details, I fear everything I might have to add has already been said by others: science!porn, banter, Gallifreyan writing, etc. However, two parts I especially liked in this chapter were: "[...]he hissed into the Doctor’s face. The Doctor’s eyes widened and he swallowed, but he held his ground. [...], because, jep, that's so them. How many scences like this were in the series? The other one is: "[...]Do you know the game?” “I dabble,” the Master admitted, with a slight smirk that meant he was sickeningly good.[...]", because it made me smile, also it makes me want to see them play against each other...ah, well...

Jack/Chewbacca I totally believe. Life day gets crazy?

UM. WHAT? THAT FIC. I. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT HAPPENED.

Awww. <3 Thanks! I'm particularly fond of the in-show body language going on there. And hey, there's still time for sexy faux-chess...

Well, it's quite him, but then you're right, it's quite everybody. It's interesting that you're feeling that this early in the story, though? I mean it's something I was trying to develop, but I didn't know if it had quite come to fruition this early.

I really like this description of the desired workable outcome, btw.

Oh, I love it! I think this is the first Ainley!Master/Five I've read, and I definitely need to start reading more. Yum. I especially love their collaboration, and them snarking at eachother using grammatical nuances. :]

You totally should--while Three/Master's the dearest, I find Five/Master the hottest. They don't get enough of an opportunity for Three-era style collaboration in show.

I'll do some Five/Master recs for you if you like?
