Amends, Friendships And Moving On - Chapter 22

Spike was sitting at the table in the library, fidgeting with the book in his hand and wondering how long it took Xander and his friends to get their lunch. Buffy had decided to skip lunch and was already engrossed in a conversation with Giles and Angel about the dead children, the symbol and the meeting tonight ( Read more... )

I love how you are weaving canon into your story. And the details you give like Xander keeping in touch with Billy are great.

Looking forward to more.

Glad you liked that. I always thought that Xander understood how Billy felt..the fear of an adult, especially when he made his comment to Buffy about how she had never met any Little League parents. So I thought it would be nice if Xander had actually kept in touch with the little guy.

Oh such a wonderful and exciting and brilliant update in such short time. Wow! How you can manage this? That's great. I do love what Xander did for Billy and I enjoyed this update. Thank you so much for sharing. Your humour is grandious and your writing style captivated me. You made my Saturday!

Wow, thanks for the super nice f/b. *blushes*

I couldn't sleep last night. The house was too quiet and everyone was sleeping so I got up and went to my computer, put in my Rascal Flatts cd that my sister gave me and the words just started coming out. I hadn't realized that I had written that much or been sitting in front of my computer all night until the light started coming through the window next to the computer.

I am glad I made your Saturday and hope to make your Sunday or Monday as my muse is still knocking around in my head, wanting me to write. I have to work and then I might take a nap, get up and start all over again.

Wow! Someone is on a roll. I like how you twist canon and give it your own special twist.

Yeah, my muse is definitely started up her engine and is revving her motor. I felt like I better make the most of it while I can. I already have future chapters for this story written so if my muse guides me through this episode and a little more, I will be set for a while.

Twisting canon is my favorite thing to do. I love Joss' world so much, but I like to change the things that I wish he had actually written. So I take his and his staff of writers like Jane Espenson and David Grenwald, and I add to it. Glad you enjoy it!

yay!! great update! love the tweaking of canon, very excited to see the changes that come next, even though I have a feeling it's not going to be pretty for our boy Xan.

Thank you. I love to take Joss' world and spin it around to what I would have liked to see. As for Xan.....he'll be in the usual hot water but he won't be the only one. The Mayor seems very interested in Spike...and Angel and Buffy like he was in canon. Things won't be the same as they were on the show, but the Mayor will be his charming bad boy self....hopefully, if I can catch his character. He's a hard one to write but I loved to hate him.

Yeah, it's definitely been too long to keep you guys waiting for updates. I hated that my muse stopped working on me but when I'm really stressed she hides away. Now she's back in full force and I hope everyone is enjoying the story once again.

I don't know what makes me keep thinking of Xander in lime green pj's with giant yellow bees on them. I have never seen pj's like this....just a weird thing that ran through my mind and stuck. Of course, Xander would look great in anything.

Hopefully when I finish my work, I will be able to write some more. I have learned one very important thing from this and from reading other author's notes. I am going to finish the two stories I have going but I have two other stories that I have begun that I will not post until I am through with them, or close to it (although I have been tempted to start posting my cop Xander one 'cause I really like the idea of him being an undercover cop). That way, I know I can still post a chapter at least once or twice a week.
