So. This weekend has been good to me, for I have done very little except sleep, read, and putter around. I'm still putting off finishing the new bodice, because renfaire was put off until next Saturday and it seems like some kind of personal sacrilige to finish it more than 24 hours before going to faire ( Read more... )

Ah, Zip drives. I have an old parallel port one, though at the moment, my only computer with a parallel port is down, else I'd volunteer to pull the data off your disk. :)

heh... if the disks haven't been wiped, then I wouldn't want anyone else to handle them AT ALL.

it's funny to hear about zip drives still when usb flash drives hold quite a bit more data, for a similarly less amount of hassle

I know. (All I want is to retrieve anything important that may be on these. If I knew for certain what they contained, I'd just give them away or physically destroy them. As is... well, I'll make sure the cables are plugged in next time I have the case open, and deal with it then.)

It's funny that the least important part of an extremely unimportant post is the thing that gets two replies within an hour of posting.

I like to say that zip drives have gone the way of the 8-track.

Oddly, I was just thinking today that I need to start a caffeine habit because I'm always dragging in the morning. I wish we had something else that could do it naturally, but exercise just doesn't provide that instant gratification. So much work!
