Hey X, I've always been a fan of your Merlin stuff, so I cruised through your lj and found your Alex Rider stories. I loved "An Object Lesson" and its sequel. . . loved it when Wolf and Alex start talking about killing people in Spanish! But my favorite is "Hell is Other People!" Now, I'm not going to bug you about posting more on it (that's rude and I hate it when people beg me to write stuff in fandoms I'm not in anymore). But I was wondering how you envisioned the story ending? Does Alex have "come out" as it were? Or is his secret safe?

And . . . what's your opinion on author-authorized endings to WIPs?

Firstly, thank you! I'm really glad that you like this stuff, especially since a lot of it was written a good four or five years ago, back when my idea of a good plot was "quick, shove some deus ex machina in there, they'll never notice!" ^_^

Ah, the ending to HIOP is a secret. None of these stories are abandoned, see. ^_^ Yes, I know they haven't been updated for god knows how long, but I have them all planned out; it's a sad case of waiting for both time and, too often, inspiration to strike. If it weren't for that, and the fact that I don't know if I could bear to hand them over to someone else - selfishness, I has it :D - I would be pretty good on the whole author-authorized endings thing!

And thanks again for plowing through that (surprisingly big?!) list!

No, no, I totally understand. Its one thing to let someone else write the ending to something you've abandoned, it's a whole other thing to let go of something you still want to write. Well, I'm glad to hear that HIOP is still on your list to do. I hope that inspiration strikes soon.

And oh! If you need more motivation to finish the story, there's a comm called ficfinishing that does exactly what it says. The comm helped motivate me to finish all sorts of half finished fic. A new round is starting soon, if you want to check it out.

Yeah, exactly; I can't abandon them, dammit! I wish I could, in a way, but I know exactly where they're going, and I really want to finish them, but... *sigh* There really isn't the time, and the rare days when I have the time, there's no inspiration. Vicious circle!

Not to mention, some inspiration-sapping reviews. Nothing makes me feel worse about updating than reviews telling me how bad I am at updating. *sigh* Emo kid is going to go cry some more.

Wow. It's amazing how much of your Alex Rider stuff I've read...and how much of the Merlin stuff I managed to miss. Was there a day when I just forgot to check my flist or something? *pouts* But at least I can read it now. Or later. As I have to go out soon.

I think it's probably a sign I spend far too much time on ff.net than is good for me. That and if you search for stuff over 10K yours is almost the only stuff there ;P
Merlin is clearly shy. He doesn't like to perform in public. That's why we like seeing Arthur...persuade...him otherwise so much. Public stock!sex ftw *g*

I got my hair cut. It's mostly the same length as when I walked in there (apart from thousands of layers) but there was so much hair on the floor I could've sold it to make a wig

Merlin is shy!? Well, I suppose... he just needs his sluttiness coaxed out of him. *grin* And Arthur doesn't exactly have a tough job to manage it.... ^_^

*g* that's alright then! Alex Rider is a fourteen year old reluctant!spy, in a series by Anthony Horowitz... he's also kind of ridiculously fun to write about. ^_^

I've read pretty much all of your Alex Rider fics, and just wanted to say thanks for contributing so much to the fandom.
You made me a Alex/Yassen shipper! O.o There was a time I couldn't really imagine romance in AR at all, but now I've converted (to the dark side..^^).
I'm a Merlin fan as well, but strangely not a Merlin/Arthur fan.. :/
Weird. Especially since there's sooo much homoerotic subtext in that show. But me? I'm a Merlin/Morgana, Gwen/Arthur shipper. Heh.

..Anywhoo.. Looking forward to your next update! Especially HiOP and SZ (even though I know SZ is on hiatus ^^#).
Hope you find inspiration soon. ^^

Wow, thank you! Sometimes the AR fandom can be a little - well, it can be a bit much, sometimes, and it's reassuring to hear that not everyone's hating on me for updating slowly! ^_^ Thank you. :D

Yeah, as you can see, the fandom and I have mixed feelings towards each other... :D

Anyway! I'm delighted to have converted you to the slash side of the fandom. *grin* We have cookies. And meeting another Merlin fan is always fun!

No word on updates, though I'm hoping ILP will be up sometime before Christmas. *facepalm*

But the Merlin thing still astounds me... I mean, I'm normally a hard-core slasher.. I slash everything! All the time! .. Some people get kind of annoyed with me when I do that too much. But a friend of mine is even worse! She's the kind of person who's read RPS George Bush/Al Gore Crack/Fluff Christmas -fics.. *shivers* And she reads A LOT of Merlin/Arthur fics.

While I like ships like: Jack/Ianto (Torchwood), Spock/Kirk (Star "I-know-I'm-a-nerd" Trek) Chuck/Casey (Chuck), Legolas/Aragorn (do I really need to tell you what fandom?), and Spike/Angel - My OTP (from Buffy tVS, and Ats).. Just a few *hrm* suggestions if, you know, you were thinking of writing fics in some new fandoms.. ^^' Heh.
