Oh that was a MAJOR owie!!

I'm not sure how to feel about Rodney in this story. Yes I feel sympathy for the man but at the same time I feel he is being a little bit selfish in telling Carson how he feels, believing that he would be dead soon after he finds out.

But in someways I can see this as being Rodney's way of coping with the feelings.

Don't get me wrong, I thought that it was a lovely story and I DID enjoy reading it. Its just that that was the feeling that I had afterwards.

I know that this was written for a prompt but it would be interesting to have a follow up story about how he and Carson dealt with the disclosure after he is saved.

I debated on how Rodney was going to act in this fic. Personally, I wanted him to go down and talk to Carson face-to-face, yet I always wanted Rodney to be as 'in character' as possible for this. He's the type of person who would wait for something like this to happen before he's honest with his feelings. And I really believed if he had gone down to see Carson, he wouldn't have said what he needed to so the alternative was the letter.

I really think I'm going to do a follow up once I'm over being sick. :)
