Well, Paris was fun, and I'm glad to have gotten that out of my system. My sister Jade paid for the hotel room and a lot of the meals (she is basically the best sister ever), so it didn't do too much damage to my budget ( Read more... ) -

Not much time to update while in Paris either, but just a few things of note.
- The rumors about French BO are true! The TGV ride over was almost unbearable because once I noticed how bad the people around me smelled, I couldn't think about anything else. -_-;

In Nantes!
So I made it to Nantes just fine and even made the 1h25 connection in CDG! The AirFrance employees told me not to worry and that it was enough time (but what about all of those horror stories?), and the plane ended up arriving 25 minutes early. Since Jade lives in London and I rarely see her anymore, we're planning on meeting up in Paris June 11-13 (the gap in between the summer school and conference in Nantes). How exciting ( Read more... ) -
Flying internationally is a pain.
Having to deal with customs & immigration, making sure carry-on luggage is compatible with Delta and Air France regulations, and minimizing the odds of missing a connection at CDG... is giving me a headache.
My flight itinerary to Nantes is DTW-YYZ-CDG-NTE. I have a little over 3 hours to connect in YYZ (Toronto), so that shouldn't be a problem. But ( Read more... ) -
