While walking outside at 2am in freezing cold the right cup of my large noise-cancelling headphones snapped like a brittle thin cone of rubber might when frozen. It occurred to me how stupid it is to wear headphones in an environment where they would surely freeze. But soon I realized I, in fact, had not blown my headphone speaker.
