i got laid off from my job as a bindery manager today. this month is 6 years that ive been working there. applying for unemployment tomorrow (never had it before, so we will see how it goes). if i can stay home with Addie for the rest of the summer it might actually be a good deal.

Sorry to hear that crap, Sean! Time to take the MOPR out on tour baby! Seriously, good luck with the unemployment. Addie would benefit from having her daddy to watch her, though! You and I can drink coffee and chat like Maggie & I did before she had to go back to work!

Big hugs Knight Family!

Are you completely laid off? Like, no work? If so, unemployment shouldn't be an issue for you to get. You may have to take some dorky class, though. Apply ASAP as it can 2 weeks for it to kick in ( ... )

I got up bright and early, cup of coffee in hand (wait, I didn't wake up with it that way, I had to make it- oh, nevermind) and on my "to-do/ computer" list was to actually come back to your LJ and post, I hope the unemployment process is going as smoothly as paperwork can and that some of the gutpunch of getting laid off is soothed by that kiddo who, rumor has it, is now sitting up and popping teeth!

ive got an appointment a week from today to go to the office and get "approved", i guess. i got paperwork saying that i would actually make a good chunk of change every week, if it goes through. now heres to hoping a) my bosses arent dickweeds and dont try to pull a fast one at the last minute and b) the unemployment people dont try some random bullshit, either. thanks for thinking about me, Barry, im either at home watching Adelaide, which has been AWESOME or ive been finishing the painting we need to do to bland up our house so someone will buy it, haha. which is great, too, because Maggie doesnt have to paint any so we both keep our sanity a little bit, haha.
