He probably just wanted to vent and didn't feel like starting a huge annoying fight, it's not like every second of the day he thinks about it, he probably just wanted to put it out in the open so that Chuck would eventually find it, becuase it's obvious that he would. If he doesn't care that he's bothering people, maybe he shouldn't be surprised that nobody invites him, it's as simple as that.

Look, I didn't know that you wanted to be invited to anything, you are the one that should've said something before attempting to make fun of Matt for not having a girlfriend, that was a really cold and immature thing to do. This isn't about "comebacks". Matt is not "my guy" he's just my friend. If you continue to do things that bother people (ex: Leah hates when you call her "sexy") then you should EXPECT a blowup after a while, it's common sense. Did it ever OCCUR to you that it HURTS PEOPLES FEELINGS when you pull crap like that?
