well, i'm back to purdue and all settled in, for the most part. for those who don't know, i'm now living downtown, directly across from the courthouse, with 3 of my guy friends. i got a pretty sweet deal in terms of the rooms, and the apartment is amazing. no one is here right now and it's kinda quiet, but i got used to that last year ( Read more... )

hello all in livejournal land...
i am in the anna porter public library here in gatlinburg, tennessee, my only access to the internet. i've been down here for a good 7 1/2 weeks now, and i'll be coming home on august 13th. i'm seriously excited about it, and i miss you all more than anything. hope everything is going well in the region.

well, i officially leave for tennessee this saturday at 6 a.m. i'm nervous, i'm not going to lie. this is something extremely far out of my comfort zone and i don't know a soul down there. plus, i will be there for a full 12 weeks, and i'm 10 hours away so i can't exactly drive home when things get rough. i know i'm 21 and i should be able to deal ( Read more... )

you know what's disheartening? when you speak to someone you haven't spoken to for two years, and they have not changed a bit. when this person actually says to you, "don't get mad because my life's tragedies always upstage yours" after you talk about a recent death (and this person mentions a death that happened when he was six years old). some ( Read more... )
