French bulldog is next on my list of dogs. However, let me just say for a minute (like a mom) that getting a puppy right now would be a HUGE deal. I thought it'd be great having my little pug Mona living with me but she is definitely a real pain in my ass about 89% of my time. She's not even a puppy and I'm constantly having to come home to make sure she's gone to the bathroom. I feel guilty leaving her alone for long periods of time. And French Bulldogs are ver territorial and need company all the time. They're a lot like pugs. So unless you plan on being home with it all the time then yeah, it's going to rip your house up because it'll be upset. Oh, if you really were serious then the best thing would be for you would be to find a rescue group and get a rescued one. They at least ar not usually puppies. [/rant]

I am serious about getting one, but I think not until I find a roommate with a dog too. Firstly, so he could have a playmate, and secondly, so my roomie and I could take turns doing walks and whatnot. I wonder if because they are territorial though they don't like getting along with other dogs?? Maybe if they were both puppies raised together?
With my friend Kaylin getting a pug three years ago during college I definitely saw what a pain in the butt it can be. It really is like having a child. My friend Staci has a Jack Russell too. Once I get a job and see what my schedule is like then maybe I can see if it would work.

i had a pug, and he was an ass.. he cried and whined whenever i left, and he pooped and peed all over the house. he was fun to snuggle with and hang with, but overall it was more trouble than it was worth.. you should wait untill you have someone who can always be around to take care of the dog. or.. rescue a dog and get one that doesnt need oodles of attention.

english is way better than french.
