Yesterday my dad was made redundant. Oh, great. The only person who works in my family and he was made redundant. It's because the company he worked for went bankrupt. They'd only just expanded as well, bought themselves a massive warehouse and painted it purple and everything then suddenly realised they'd spent too much money and were bankrupt. ( Read more... )

Yep that's when I found out.

To be honest, the whole reason why I don't want lessons yet is because I want to learn how to use the steering wheel first, just because I know it'll take a long time to get the hang of it ^^ Once I can look in the mirrors without steering towards them I think I'll be ready to progress to more advanced stuff XDD

That's awesome about the licence! Driving is a lot of fun :)

Redundant is when you lose your job but it's not your fault, it's because your job isn't needed any more.

It is fun ^^ I can't wait to go again!

My first driving experience was pretty.. um... "intense" as well. (If I ever hear my sister yell "YOU'RE DRIFTING RIGHT!" that loud again, my ears will bleed)
Anyways, sorry bout your dad... Hopefully he will find a job soon.

Aww sorry to hear about your dad. :( Mine's not working either and I don't think he ever will, due to health problems, but my mum still works so at least we're still getting money... And we're getting disability living allowance now. I hope your dad can find another job soon!

LOL about the driving, I've never attempted to drive yet but I expect I'll be just as bad as you at first. XD Glad you didn't crash into anything though!

Thanks. I hope your dad's ok, my dad's not working but at least he's not ill, I'd be really worried if he was. My mum can't drive you see and there's nowhere for her to work in the village, so we rely on my dad a lot.

You watch, you'll drive for the first time and be a natural and I'll hate you forever ^^
