dulles airport gets my award for worst airport ever (even above heathrow). the G terminal is more like a bus station for smaller jets. and you have to take a bus to get there, which sits outside behind the main terminal with the doors wide open (it's cold you bastards!). the bus to the G terminal is unlike the oddly moon-vehicle-esque people movers

The airport hates G Gates too. The concept, design, construction and maintenance of which is completely and fully the ownership of United Airlines. Even the giant honking bus, that I would like to point out is not ADA compliant, is all property of United Airlines. Why IAD let them do it is still a mystery to me but it is UAL all the way. And you are right, it is a bus depot.
As for the cat thing...I agree with you 100%.
