- I've never seen the show Millennium, and I think they did a pretty good job of telling us everything we needed to know about the Millennium group without bogging us down in unnecessary details. For those of you who watched the show, was this a satisfying conclusion? Frank Black seems like a neat character. - I liked seeing M&S involved in the meeting in Skinner's office with other agents. Any time XF does the whole FBI task force thing, I love it. I wish there was more of that, M&S interacting with other FBI agents. - I love when the little sheriff's deputy pipes up to share that the quote is from Revelation. I don't know, I just think it's neat. :) - Speaking of which, Mulder, it's Revelation, singular. It always bugs me when people say Revelations, plural. :P

As soon as they pull away, Mulder just looks kind of shellshocked and Scully looks pleased, then Mulder reacts to that and gets really happy, and then suddenly Scully looks kind of wistful/regretful, so then Mulder's like Aw shit, and then Scully's inexplicably kind of mildly pleased again, then they do the cutest version ever of the Mulder's-hand-on-Scully's-back thing. What the hell was all that? I can't tell if they liked it or not, lol.
LMAO. That's probably the most accurate summary of it that I've ever read. It's like as soon as Mulder says that the "world didn't end" that's when Scully makes a strange face. I don't get it...maybe she was irritated with the double meaning of the phrase. It ends on a good note and they skip off into the sunset together (so to speak) so I like to look at it positively.

Oh yeah, definitely, me too. I didn't mean to harsh on it, because of course I love it. It just... was executed in a weird way or something, I don't know. Their facial expressions just weren't what I would've expected, I guess.
Oh no, I agree totally actually. It IS weird. I don't know if it's doing the rewatch or not, but I think I'm just choosing to ignore a lot of things that used to bug me. ;)
In any case, it's a weird scene in a lot of ways. I think it may be CC's way of trying to hold back on a huge amount of shippiness, but I've always loved that moment between them.
Ahh, this episode. It reminds me why I fell in love with these two. Thanks so much for posting this. I really needed to read something light-hearted and wonderfully nostalgic.
I remember watching this episode and then getting to the end-and jumping off my couch from excitement. I loved their dynamic in this episode and this just reaffirms to me why they are so perfect together.

Oh me too. I was very much unspoiled pre-Season 8, so it came as a total shock and yet it was...expected almost considering they were there watching the countdown and Mulder GAZING at her, I was all, "OMG they're going to kiss!".
Our little comm is DYING here with all the XF2 flailing. LOL.
But anyway, I do love this ep. Its not great-great, but it was only to tie up Millennium, wasnt it? (Much like Jump The Shark was to tie up The LGM series and completely ruin everything for me at that point)
The M&S cuteness scale is just AWESOME this season. I really enjoyed rewatching S7 because of that more than anything, and this ep is obviously no exception.
The kisssssssssssss!! OMG! They're so cutely emotionally stunted that they cant have anything more than a chaste kiss. Its SO THEM and I love it and haters can STFU!! I just know they went and had wild monkey sex after, so it all evens itself out, ok??
Random:
Did Scully forget she had the Orbourous (did I even spell that right? LOL) tattooed on her ass back? Or is that why she barely looked at the photo

Scully/Skinner UST/groping! You know its there :oP I DO! I especially love his reaction before lifting up the sheet, thinking he's going to find Scully under there. So sad for the Skinman.
Is it just me, or is Scully consistently a better shot than Mulder? I guess it helps when you manage to hang onto your gun...
And I will forever hate Extra for spoiling this kiss for me. I was just sitting there on a Friday afternoon, and BAM! their last little "story" over the credits was them telling me about this. I HATE YOU EXTRA! But I love the kiss. :D

HAHA! Yes! I was thinking this ... I cant even remember when now. Sometime during my epic rewatch. I was like ... Scully always hits her mark, Mulder fails, why is that? Aside from Scully being awesome of course.
I've never seen any the show Millennium either, but I love Frank Black, he rocks. and this ep totally rocks too. I think i must have a zombie fetish. gotta love Zombies.
and I love season 7 just for the more Skinner-ness. I adore Skinner.
The kiss, EPIC AWESOMENESS. though yeah, reactions seem mixed on both parts, but i like to think thats because yeah, NOTHING IMPLODED OMFG. but maybe its because nothing imploded, ya know?
see but i loved him in season 8 just for the fact he was looking out for Scully so much and he was the only one that knew her 'secret'.
Like i said to mum the other day, "If the love of my life ever gets abducted by aliens and I'm all alone pregnant with his child. I want a Skinner to get me through it!"

But he totally checks out her wound a little more carefully than he should ;o)

Ha! You're right; Mulder just drops his gun before he has a chance to prove how accurate of a shot he is. :P

I love Skinner too. I wish they had given him more to do in S8.
