BEN!

That's the sole reason why A) This episode was enjoyable and B) an X-File. Otherwise, it was not worthy of being the lead-in to The Truth.

Yeah I only like it for Ben :P lol. And I didn't realize that was him until I rewatched!

OMG BENJAMIN LINUS. Ha! I hadn't seen this episode since it aired, which was of course a couple of years before Lost premiered, so I had no clue that the main character in this episode was Ben from Lost. As soon as he opened the door and peeked his head out, I almost spit out my drink. I wanted to yell, "Run, Doggett! Don't trust anything he says!" :P ( ... )

Most hilarious to me was when Scully mentioned having worked this job for nine years, almost 200 cases. The writers must've thought that since they were about to hit episode # 200, that meant Scully had investigated 200 paranormal cases.

LOL! That annoyed/amused me too. I'm hoping that there were cases we didnt see that M&S worked on to make up for those ones Scully didnt investigate and those cases that took up like 3 episodes. I'm not really sure how any of the season 9 episodes would count as Scully working on them either.

Oh my. I remember being so excited to see this episode, hoping that it would lead up to an amazing finale ... and then we saw this. I thought the episode was quite rediculous. I think the writers may have been on LSD when they thought this was a good idea. Who knows...?

The only plus to this episode; Scully looked hot. And she got to smile, which was a plus.

The episode itself is terrible enough, but that it had to be the penultimate episode of the entire series? *rocks in the corner* I try not to think about it too much. Someone once had a pretty hilarious icon on LJ of Scully smiling up at Skinner from this episode, and it was hilarious because her icon keywords were: "I just gave my baby away! (NO, I'M NOT BITTER)" or something along those lines. Always made me want to laugh in exasperation, or just cry. Kind of like this episode!

I also try to forget that Vince G., my MAN, wrote this one. Usually that's easy to do, thank God.

"Should we be picking out china patterns?"

Seriously. I hate this episode. It is pointless and Scully is all giggles and sh** even though William is gone, Mulder is still on the run, and life generally blows chunks for her right about now.

Why am I bitter? Mostly for all of the reasons you stated. I think this would have made more sense airing earlier in the season. It would have made more sense to put "William" and "The Truth" right against each other.

To end on a positive note, I like the colors in the picture that you posted. *sits* It was some cool imagery. Yeah, that's all.
