It's interesting how you can lie flat and stare at the ceiling for hours when you're caught up in something and don't know what to think or do but lie there, staring. I find myself trying to keep my eyes on one of the fan blades, and watch it as it goes around and around until finally I've lost track of that one blade and just watch it as a whole.
