i'd be wary of doing chest, shoulders and tri's in the same day. since the secondary muscle for chest exercises are the tris, as well as for shoulder presses your triceps are going to be jelly by the time you focus on them. personally, i do shoulders the same day that i do legs, just to give my tri's some time to recuperate between chest day and tricep day (i lift 5 days a week, one muscle group per day, with the exception of wednesdays which is legs and shoulders)
a couple things i notice with your routine is that it seems slightly unbalanced day 3 seems significantly lighter than the rest of your days (day 1 has 20 sets, day 2 has 24 sets, day 3 has only 10 sets plus abs).
i would sugguest adding wide grip lat pull downs, shrugs, and preacher curls to day 3 if you're stuck on doing a 3 day split.
ive had alot of success in a 5 day split, i think that if you're able to find the time, going to a 4 or 5 day split would be a huge advantage.
yer funny.. when i go to slc, it's all lifting for me the WHOLE time... need to get back into my regiment (which is quite different)... when my old band would tour we would arm wrestle EVERYONE... i think we should keep that tradition here... it would be great!
first of all, your goals on lowering BF while gaining 10-12 lbs of muscle seem unrealistic. you won't be able to do this (unless you're taking steroids or are genetically gifted) at the same time. gaining/losing weight all depends on your diet. you can't gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. so do phases of dieting/bulking
