Actually, I really like a lot of this old timey stuff. I was raised old school with my parents being so much older. I was raised doing everything the old fashioned way, so I think I am drawn to it. My parents didn't raise me to state "we are doing this because it is green" or whatever. They raised me "it is so wasteful to buy all that disposable new fangled stuff and you don't need it. why break tradition when all the old fashioned simple stuff worked just as good if not better along with being easier on your pocketbook?".
Grandma's Lye Soap has so many uses and it is so cheap to make/use around the house for cleaning. And.. we can call it "green" and "environmentally friendly"
