I'm not going to lie. I like Shyamalan. I think he's a good director. I also think he's a good writer. "The Sixth Sense" was more than a movie and "Unbreakable" is arguably just as good (if not better). That's why it's sad to see a movie like "Lady in the Water". Not just because it's letting me, the consumer, down but leaving a potentially great ( Read more... )

i'm sad you didnt even mention the village, which is in my opinion shyamalan's second best, next to the sixth sense.

i was kind of surprised that there was no surprise ending. i wanted something totally weird to happen like in the village, where everything you believed throughout the entire movie ended up being skewed.

and i agree, the little wolf and the monkeys were kind of.. for lack of a better word, gay.

BUT. who cares.
i enjoyed it. so what if i laughed as i was walking out of the theater b/c nothing exciting happened at the end besides that huge eagle taking her away.

i liked the quest in it. i liked that i jumped. and i liked the comedy.

i DO hope that his next movie lives more up to my standards though. i think this one will just kind of sink away and noone will really ever care about it.

they should have just made a movie about the relationships between the tenants at the apartments. that asian girl was my favorite.

but yeah, theres my opinion.
i probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either.
