The only new thing is vampires which, as I promised at the end of the last meme, I posted right away! All the chapters of that thing are very long for some reason so I wouldn't be surprised if most of whatever this year's word count ends up being is just that :T

I managed to get one update in in February! On the 28th, no less XD;; A semi-sequel to an IkeJun fiction that got written last year. I managed to write a few more, mostly for manjupress. What a difficult pairing to write!! They just don't want to smooch. what the heck. Just smooch already.

Another vampire fic update as well! This time I managed to scale the word count back a bit ;O! Good job, me! keep writing it!! Write shorter chapters and I'm sure you can get more updates in |Db
And finally, a FE AU that came about as a fic meme prompt thing. I think it's awfully cute!! I would like to write more of this AU someday (especially now that I have FE:A ohohoho) but I will have to come up with a proper story before I can write more stuff about random dudes getting married XDDD It would be cool if I could write support logs for everyone but how many would that even be omg there's 16 dudes and they should be able to be paired with anyone else no matter how ridiculous and frivolous that pair would be... maybe after I get some other stuff out of the way I'll start taking requests |DDD The most popular one is already done though...

The first one might actually be my favorite /o\ I'm pretty confident in characterization and oh idk with all the vampires running around it was nice to have normal dudes cuddling -u- I am all about normal dudes cuddling but this was maybe the majority of that this year D:!
Then TRUMP!! The vampire play that started it all was finally released on DVD and even though Gels is far from my favorite chara (the opposite of my favorite character, in fact, hahaha) the fact remained that I got thinking about him first. Trump fic is SO HARD to write TAT!! You have to think so hard about what you are writing and make sure that everyone's in character and you have to dig deeply into motivations and crazy vampires :( Probably this is why I only have two and a half of them so far :(
July:
In the Hall of Golden Fortunes Chapter 1 - D2, 2707 words
Last year I didn't write anything in July, this year I didn't write anything in June! What the heck XD Anyway I apparently decided I didn't have enough vampires going on, so I decided to make another semi-long fic that would be a prequel to the other one. Probably one of many prequels and side-stories that will go into that one but you know, that's okay!! Anyway as of the end of last year this one is almost completely planned and MAYBE close to being finished even but I have no idea if I had anything planned out or anything at all when I first started it or if it was a totally spur of the moment type thing, lol. All's well that ends well? ;A; i hope it will end well.
August:
Parallels and Perpendiculars - D2 RPF, 550 words
Return of IkeJun!! I guess this was around IkeP's birthday? Actually it was just because the aforementioned Shuu totally murdered them horribly in one of her fics even though they're her OTP |DDD Whatever, Shuuya. But I still failed to make it very romantic so I don't think I made up for the horrible deaths :( Keep trying!! Paddle the kayak D:

Grasping at Flaws - TRUMP, 602 words
Ahahahahahaha. Ahahaha. My great memory of writing this fic is handwriting it at night on a scrap of paper on the floor in the dark (but with a lamp turned on because you can't actually write in the dark) with Takada Kozue's Inko and Himitsu Kichi on repeat while crying endless bitter tears. sobs forever. I was originally writing a Rapha fic to go with the Gelly fic, but then I wrote this one instead?? idek why WOW WHAT A STUPID PLAY I HATE EVERYTHING. misery, thy name is true of vamp.

That oneshot was me bein' all YO I always write Sho POV in ShoYou I will CHALLENGE MYSELF and write You POV but it was hard |DDDDD I think it turned out all right and makes a nice companion to Involved but it was hard and I couldn't come up with a title for it at all. So at some point my dad was like "Watcha doin?" and I was like "idk what to call this fanfiction what should I call it" and he was like "Kung Pao Broccoli" and when I ran it by some twitter chums they approved so. there you have it.
I FINALLY updated assassins and I think it turned out pretty well but wow it sure did take a long time to update :( I'm pretty sure everyone forgot what happened |DDD I hope they reviewed it ;u; anyway maybe the story moved forward a little? I have to write that one more orz write that one instead of vampires sometimes even if it is difficult D||

...That was some rough coding just now |D YES but! In November there was a drabble meme about smooches and I was resolved to finish all the requests I got this time around, unlike the last meme I did! SO I stayed up really late and a couple of them were really stressful a bit maybe but I got them all done!!! I am a little proud of myself -u-
I also updated vampires again :D it's almost caught up with EFoD, I wonder if it will surpass it soon....

Two chapters of vamprequel ;u; I had hoped to get one more chapter done before the end of the year but it didn't quite happen! It's at least halfway done though so I hope that it will be one longfic finished fairly early in the new year!! Only a chapter and a half to go, hopefully... The wordcount has stayed pretty consistent with this one as well, which makes me really happy! The last chapter might be extra long, but... we'll see |D We will see what happens. I hope it will be finished sooonnnnnnnnnnn.
Total number of stories: Three longfic (8 chapters total), ten oneshots, eleven drabbles, two additions to a shortfic collection, one script style... thing. I added one longfic but overall produced two fewer chapters than last year :( On the other hand, I wrote four more oneshots than last year!
Total word count: 54,307 words posted! That's over 10K more than last year ♥ Like last year, there's also a bunch more stuff I wrote but didn't finish, and that sort of thing... |DDD well. It's probably about the same, since I started a few more projects but didn't really publish anything from the backlog :/

Leitmotif(s) of the year: v a m p i r e s |DDDDD does that count |DDDDD um. I think there was a greater focus on introspection? It continued to mostly be about romance but there's some other stuff in there too. With the two Trump fic you see a lot of self-doubt maybe? I'd like to write more thoughtful fics in the future c:
Favorite fic: probably Involved???? I'm not sure really.
Best fic: m a y b e Grasping at Flaws. GOSH I hope it's good it is full of suffering so it had better be good :(
Most popular fic: You know I have no idea |D Probably ATBB again, I think the Gelly fic has the most hits on AO3.
Most underappreciated fic: You know it feels like some of these fics are only being read by two or three different people but hey you know what that is just fine |D I'm sure it is making those people happy!
Favorite first lines: Maybe Kung Pao Broccoli. Youichirou arrives extra early, just because he wants to get there first.
Most fun fic: Vampires? Probably vampires XD It's really interesting because I'm always figuring new things out about the characters and finding things that I wrote that support various plot directions before I actively thought about and decided on them and also there's just a lot of smooching which is always fun XD
Sexiest fic: Vampires. It might be vamprequel actually? Although actually several of the chapters of regular vampires that were posted this year were probably more romanchikku. ANYWAY THEY MADE OUT A LOT. ALL OF THEM.
Fic that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: Possibly vampires hahahahaha it is obvious what I spent all year writing/thinking about. Also the two Trump fics because it made me think a lot harder about Gelly and Krauss than I had before, especially Krauss T____T saddest TRUMP.
New pairing/genre/fandom you never predicted writing in January: UM well there's a new AU that I started that hasn't been published that I didn't really see coming XD Other than that it seems pretty reasonable!
Hardest fic to write: I guess it's turned out to be EFoD out of things I actually wrote this year :( Other than that last year's answer of 一期一会 is probably still accurate, i don't know that I wrote ANYTHING for that one this year omfg
Biggest disappointment: Not writing as much vampires and assassins as I planned :((( I definitely thought I'd get to double digits in assassins chapters, at least... and also not finishing that JK/Kengo or getting anything done on 一期一会
Biggest surprise: Drabble meme? XD It was really a pretty laidback year in terms of content and I don't think I really broke any new ground the way I did in 2012. Or, I guess, y'know, crying over those TRUMP fics while writing them |D I didn't expect to be all that broken up about them |DDDq
Most telling fic: I DUNNO we'll say vampires again bc it is probably pretty obvious that I like making excuses to have these dudes smooch. what is that fic even about lol
What's next? Write more vampires!! Write more assassins!! Finish vamprequel!! Finish at least three of the WIPs I've been holding onto for forever like PLEASE FUTURE SELF please finish JK/Kengo while you still have an audience and finish that Rapha fic? and something else ugh you've got tons of stuff you started but didn't finish, LEARN TO FINISH THINGS. Write that fic for Shuu that you already have 2K for! Maybe write about fruit samurais even though they'll probably already be dead soon! Finish those fics from that gosh dang 2011 meme D||
No, really, what's next? Last year it was vampires chapter 4 and this year it is vamprequel chapter 4! :D I'm seriously gonna finish that vamprequel this month so PREPARE YOURSELF.
