Yesterday at work, betwixt working, I was discovering the world of GameBoy Advance ROMs (or trying to anyway). [curious... if downloading copyrighted music via some Peer-to-peer program is illegal, is attempting to download copyrighted GBA ROMs illegal? - Yeah, the aircon seat of the L300... and how the driver, Jose, never wanted it set to High.
- The Green Velvet Couch! I asked (yes, asked) Nana for that! I had some boys carry it from the 3rd floor of Nana's place in Bacood and carry it up three floors to my room! It's there right now... I love that couch.
- The motorcycle rides! Remember how my sister lost control and scraped along one of the walls for about 50 meters? Ow!
- What about when everyone was swimming and someone wasn't allowed to swim... and they conveniently fell into the pool? or the diving board and the dives we all used to make up? the slide (we didn't really worry about how rusty that slide was, did we?)? or that rope?
- does anyone remember that time Uncle Rudy had this big HUGE machine gun mounted to face the pool and he let us all take a few shots? DAMN!

Lee I remember meeting the Gils/deMesas - I LOOOOVE RoseMarie Gil - so classy!!!

And remember Lorna T was there too?!?! That was when movies mattered - no pa-star bullshit like now - and they weren't celebrities as such...

I loved your room in Mariposa - Dusty and Bus' old room and that little hall where we would all start to climb - I only ever reached it once (I was too fat to do it a second, third, fourth time).

For some reason the McDonalds in Greenhills is part of my childhood - drivethru's there (twistie fries, choc/vanilla softserves, strawberry shakes), going there before/after school, meeting friends, d&m's, shouting at that goddamn box to get your order across...

i hated going to pong pong room when they lived in the big house. that part of the house scared me, with the library. HAHAHA!!!! and ritchie mopping the floor was AWESOME!!! i've got that image forever burned in my mind.

i miss playing with plastic bubbles in the family room in mariposa, and when we'd all watch tv there, and playing pick-up sticks and jacks in leia's old townhouse.

OMG remember when we were still living in mariposa and roby and i got into a fight and he painted in my 'phantom' book and i strangled him? and everyone was crying cuz he couldn't breathe? HAHAHA. i beat his ass. you guys are such pussy's.

oh my. there goes that bitch again. well, i do have a reputation to live up to, don't i?

I read your list half-way thru and then I started crying... I know all these memories, I have it in my heart - the tastes and smells and sounds of being a child and being loved and being innocent and only ever having fun. Where did all of that go? So far away - I feel it was a lifetime away ( ... )

Personal memory: getting picked up from school and going up Ortigas Avenue to go pick up the girls at Poveda; getting off in front of Galleria (the Ortigas side), selecting/buying my comic books for the week, and then running down to the Poveda exit of Galleria to catch up with the L300... Most of my comics during my comic-buying prime was purchased in this manner...

I also remember on one occassion, I think in Grade 6, when I went out with some friends after school because it was a half-day. The original plan was that I'd get a lift home when the girls got picked up. Well, we went to Greenhills instead of Galleria, so I didn't need to get a lift when the girls got picked up. I assumed they'd wait for a bit and then just leave me (remember, before the advent of mobile phones, this kind of common sense was the norm). Well it just so happened Nana came along to pick up the girls. Suffice to say, she was PISSED. Didn't you guys wait til like, 7pm or something? Nana went off at me!!!
