and I don't really intend to start now, but who else knew that McCain would pick a woman for his running mate?

An act of despair. He thinks he can sway women who wanted Hillary with this. I would personally find it insulting if I were female. Instead I view it as further proof of senility...

I love this choice. I am a big Palin fan and have always felt we needed a woman like this with heart, guts, values, and vision, a Margaret Thatcher type, to get this country into gear. I am surprise only that someone finally made a good decision, am encouraged and ecstatic at the prospect of her being in the White House.

True, it is stunning that McCain could have made a good decision. Don't worry, knowing his track record he'll backtrack at the first sign of trouble.

A woman with heart, guts and values? (SNICKER) Her values include opposing legal abortion. Guts? I suppose it was brave of someone as glaringly unqualified as her to accept the job of VP nominee. And heart? Absolutely,she showed real courage trying to force the saftey commisioner to fire her ex-brother in law because of him divorcing her sister. Apparently her vision has been limited mostly to worrying if there was enough snow on hand for the iditarod race. Of course if you hanker for 4 more years of ineptitude,by all means rah-rah the senile John McSame and his stepford choice. Besides, if Gustav comes calling I'm sure McSame will feel the pain about like Chimpy Bush did. Hows that working out for you?

MPR talked about her as a possibility a few weeks ago, and I just had a sinking feeling that she'd be the one.
