I'm glad LJ has a discontent option. It's probably a dip in hormones or a lack of sugar, but I am... discontent over everything today. The boys' usual irrational exuberance was draining. Kids today are just as safe as they were in the '70s, says "Free-Range Kids" author Lenore Skenazy, and what's really distressing is an alarmist culture that refuses to let them grow up.
