So I immediately clicked on this just because of the title (linguistics nerd speaking!) but omg this is so delightful! I admit, I sometimes felt like Cas here in the show - why Sam has such a hard time with his name I'll never understand, but now I'm happy about it because it produced this cuteness :D

Actually, I don't think hearing it again would help. My sister tries to understand why I think things sound different or wrong all the time and she never can. When Sam says it, it sounds kinda like "CAStiulll" to me and it's just weird ^^

This is adorable. And I'm glad to know I'm not the only person to have noticed Sam's tendency to say Cast-ee-ul instead of Cas-tee-el ^^. I think it's kind of cute but yeah, I can get how Castiel would take offence XD.

XD well, I think in part it comes from having to convince people I know how to pronounce my OWN NAME (Marie Louise, and the Marie is pronounced Marry, not Mah-ree), hence instant sympathising with Castiel over similar.

I randomly love the way Lucifer says it, actually. It's almost like he's tasting the name when he says it, it's kind of weird and creepy-awesome.
