i'm so jealous. i haven't been to DC in like 4 years. i fuckin love going to the memorials, and i still haven't been to the wwii one. i know you didn't write about it in here, but did you happen to check out the FDR monument anytime you've been there? it's unbelievable.

this was only my second time to DC, and we were on a major time constraint, so we didnt see the fdr memorial. i dont remember seeing it the other time either but that was like 11 years ago, so im not sure. dc rules though and there is so much to see. it would be nice to go and actually spend a whole day there.

I think the FDR memorial you can only see if you get out of the car and walk - my parents and I went a few weeks (months??) ago and I had a damn good time - it's nice to go back when you're old enough to appreciate everything

and I think the WWII memorial looks really nice - I want to check it out in the spring

yeah the FDR memorial is the one set up with all of the water to signify different moments during his terms. it's really beautiful. i've been to literally every tour/monument you can go to in DC. white house, mint, all smithsonians, EVERYTHING! it rules, and i love going back every time.
