I'm not hungry. And it's raining outside.
As the raindrops cascade to the earth, my cotton shirt drinks them in until it's entirely soaked through. The shirt hangs limply from my shoulders.
I turn my palms toward the sky and sing:
The sky looks pissed.
The wind talks back.
I smile an ironic smile to myself.
My dog is wary about crossing the boundary
