In the past few years I have turned into quite a freak about cleanliness, but it's getting really bad. My hands have been really raw lately because I keep washing them or excessively using hand sanitizer. Like I wash them probably 20-30 times a day. And I feel really justified in it and I don't understand how anyone could not wash their hands as

Yeah and i use hand sanitizer SO much. And like at restaurants, i have to have someone like squeeze the ketchup bottle for me, etc. And i hate the menus! Theyre greasy and gross and germy :[. I use Neutrogena Norwegiam Formula hand cream. Haha it feel like youre putting glue on you hands but it works really well. :]

I can't do the ketchup either! This makes me feel better. I'll try your hand cream - I wrote the name down. I had to shake all these hands the other night and I was so mortified. They must have thought I was so disgusting.

Well, if you are looking to stop doing it as often, you can always think about how you are creating super germs and harming your bodies immune system?

They only kill 99.99% of germs. What about the .01%? They just get stronger.

But yeah. I understand the logic, there are worse things to be OCD about.

Actually I am making the 99.99% of germs stronger. It's the whole theory of evolution at work. I'm not sure what you believe in that regard BUT by killing all these germs with my hand sanitizer, their little germ bodies or amoebas or whatever are adapting to the hand sanitizer and in future generations the sanitizer won't work anymore. The .01% stands for the germs that have already adapted to the repellent in the hand sanitizer and are able to survive (natural selection, survival of the fittest, whatever).
