Well, the Christmas tree is up and waiting to be decorated, and we have the bare minimum required lights and decorations out. As soon as the tree is lit and decorated, it'll be far too close to Christmas. I love Christmas.

I never thought anything could make the off-campus area look beautiful. It's generally a blighted landscape, but through the soft white filter everything looks okay again.

Unexpected discoveries of metaphor in your own writing is potentially one of the scariest, most thrilling things I've felt. It's a bit like mounting a roller-coaster: you fee something building and building, it's starting to worry you and excite you, then your breath catches and you see over the edge.

I have to quit my job after finals week. I really need to write and relax and enjoy my time in college, or my head's going to explode. This quarter has just been one giant bundle of stress.
I just hate leaving such a good job.
