another call from the IT staff company in the City. Found me a permenant position in the City in which i'll receive network training towards (i assume) eventual deployment as a Network Technician or something along those lines. Details are again sketchy because of the staffing company's commission (so we assume).

It sounds to me like this would at least be a good place to start, and if you're going to stay at home for a while especially it really isn't bad in terms of money.

The nice thing about it as well, is that if someone were thinking of traveling occasionally it would lend itself to long weekends. ;-)

oh haha I meant the Pink Floyd one! I was listening to Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon when I first read this post!! Not Money but still! hehe =P

As long as there's no funky stuff in the contract, no reason not to take a job with a company you're confortable working with as a starting point. It's money, and some > none last time I checked. Worst thing that happens is you get an offer where you can get a full time position, and you tell this guy as much. Then they either say "Yeah, we still can't give you anythign more, sorry" or they say "Oh yeah??? How's this sound to you!?"
