You seem preoccupied, Tarei.

Does it seem that way?

It does. Otherwise I wouldn't have pointed it out.

I'm surprised though...

Seems I'm more obvious then I should be.
Surprised?
How so?

You never were a Good Samaritan, Tarei.

I was not referring to myself, Mello. I was referring to someone else.
I know that I'm not a Good Samaritan.

Kei hardly fits the description, either. He simply has a weakness for damsels in distress.

Mmm... you catch on quick
No, you're right he doesn't seem like one, but a weakness that would have been his end.

Jeez, for a demon-lady-thing you sure like to rant about a bunch of useless fairly human topics.

Ah, yes, the one that butts into other's business.
Once more, it is none of your concern, and it will never truly be any of your useless concerns.

That doesn't even make sense. Sheesh, for some demon-thing you sure don't talk all that well. But to correct you, it's always my concern because you're a demon-thing and I'm the head of the infamous SOS-Brigade!

Again, I could care less what Brigade you are from. It is of no importance to me.
As always my business is none of your concern. I do not need another annoyance to add to my list.

When one has been betrayed, it would be more difficult to trust another.

However, I have seen that with even the most powerful of impacts, some have managed to trust again. It would be a difficult ordeal, but not an impossible one.

Yes, I believe it in that sort of way.

It is possible, but will take time, correct? I somehow knew that, but refused to accept it.

You are a strange... wise man.

After the things I've seen, I'm certain that this is possible. It will take a great deal of time, and someone worth the effort, but you can regain trust again.

Is that so?

Certainty can backfire at any time, can't it, Van?
Tch' how annoying those words sound.

Unlike a lot of humans, you possess a sort of... intelligence that would baffle most youkais. Your words are oddly enlightening.

I've never met a human like you before.
