Excuse the constant posts about knitting...

I'm about 1300 stitches from finishing up this big section of the project. I started the last bit and then came up to a messy bit from a split stitch. I tried to fix it and proceed to screw it up to the point that my needles slipped out and I had a bunch of loose stitches. It was ugly. Oh, ugh. I hate it when that happens, and I prefer slick metal needles. (Switching to wood, alas, for the sake of my hands.) I had a circ break on me near the end of my Brain Slug hat, which needs to be blocked before I do anything else to it, and I dropped somewhere between 30 and 90 stitches. I was too pissed to even count. Gah. Why, oh, why does this stuff have to happen?

Without tinking, I would lose my mind.
