Well here it is
the day we've been counting down for since winter
finals are done, lockers are cleaned, and the halls are empty
and here we are
seniors
i think i could say that 50 times and still not really feel it
this year has been hard
its been the first year ive really had to work for my grades
and i cant imagine

ive discovered this year
that i dont need a boy to make me happy
i feel like this past year
ive had my heart torn out
ripped to shreads
then reassembled
like a kid who tears apart a puzzle
and cant figure out how all the pieces fit back into it
the funny thing is
we will have heartbreak, after heartbreak, after heartbreak
its not just a highschool thing
so maybe these make us strong
for the future
a couple days ago i told myself that id given up on boys
that im tired of getting hurt
truth is
i think they help you discover yourself.
