Today is a 4 (out of 10) on the mental health scale, just because i played some of my favorite songs and smiled for real.
Yesterday was a 6 - I got some things done.
Friday was a 3, just because I got dressed at a reasonable time and did some work.

I hate feeling like this. I wish I could blame it on the weather, but I don't think that's a good

 My exam tomorrow was just canceled (yeah, at 1:35 am, just as I was about to pack my backpack and hit the sack). And you know what? I'm kind of mad about it. I didn't know I would feel this way... kind of confused about why I feel this way. Writing to no one in particular in cyberspace because I'm kind of embarrassed about feeling this way. Happy New Year!

I am not proud to say that I told them the wrong way to work the problem, but I am proud to say that I wrote a very clear document detailing the right way, made email groups, posted the information online, alerted them to the mistake, and directed them to the correct method.  I picked up the pieces and will keep on running, cautiously so.

I love grad school!  It keeps me busy with a variety of things to do.  I love the sense of accomplishment that I get by completing small tasks instead of working on one long, drawn-out, never ending science project like I did at LANL.  I also like my new friends.  There is a group of us in the Analytical division who teach the second semester of ( Read more... )
