You are amazing. :) Isn't giving it back so beneficial? My first sponsee is finishing up the steps on (next) Sunday and speaking at a Young People's meeting in Providence tomorrow. He's 5 months sober. I don't have to tell you how awesome that makes me feel, because you already know. :) You're an inspiration. :) Hugs.
recovery is a growing process. i feel differently about my body and self now, i am not suicidal, i am generally not depressed or self-destructive. i have new insights i never had before, and want them to be greater, i don't want to slip into the world of the self-pitying, where the windows are forever black. my vision is greater than that. the point of my story is to try & inspire may a couple of people into changing, or considering change, or just observing change is enough. i like the tangible evidence of recovery this article brings, and my parents are proud. even if i am still struggling emotionally and still turn to my eating disorder during stress (which i quite honesty probably need counseling for), it doesn't mean my heart isn't open to love and development.
